Ms Hunt wanted to go fishing for Mothers Day. Headed to Fourchon and caught a nice box this morning. Great day on the water. How did you guys do?

Finished giving away fish from last week. Spoke to Falcon Rods and sent them what they wanted in order to get 2 new rods for 40$. Quality is what you pay for and quality is what you get.
BTW!

Went trout fishing in Lake Chuck for the weekend. Left with 5 reds, a trout, and 35+ bass! Crazy arse weekend of "saltwater" fishing.

Saturday was tough in Leeville with dirty water everywhere. Finally got on the trout at 6 pm and caught 25 before 7. Spent today fishing with the wife and picked up 36 by noon and called it a day. Great day

Fished the Blue River on Friday and caught about 20 bass, mainly spots and largemouth but my big fish was this solid 16.5" smallie:

Small spot:

Decent largemouth:

Man I love river fishing.

Then this evening I hit a pond and caught probably 50 chinquapin, mostly on a crappie bite under a cork but a few on a small craw crank and a beetle spin:

They were all just a little bit smaller than I like to keep. Hoping they grow bigger!

Is that a 452 or 455? Nice guns either way.

Roger always wins. We need to create a separate category for him.

Was sent this pic from Wednesday of last week, and talked into going to Toledo to get on some "guaranteed" holes.

Long story short, fished 6 hrs in 3' rollers, took many waves over the front deck, broke troll motor bracket, lost anchor, and caught 6 fish. Yes, SIX.
Felt like I rode a bull for the entire time.

I did get several brush top way points, and will probably be back for more punishment soon.

Of course, Sunday wind was dead calm.

Went to Toledo. Kept 8 bass threw back a few more. It felt like we were riding in the gulf with those 2' waves in the main lake.
