Water’s up; fly fishing’s up.

Those bass and bream like to forage on the bank.
Water is usually at the end of my finger.
This is Mountain Island Lake in Charlotte Nc.
Duke power likes to flood our lake and not the two larger lakes above and below us.
My guess is that there are less homes to claim flood insurance on.

Anybody been to sherburne wma south launch on landing road lately? Love fly fishing back there.

Have you caught big bream in there? I've tried at lil bama and havent caught any big ones. There were visible beds all over there (lil bama) this morning.

Is that big Alabama on the southern end closest to I10 or bayou Manuel? Only place I have fished in sherburne. Last summer I had 2 trips with 20+ big bream.

That launch is big bama. I caught a few smaller ones in there on a fly rod for catfish bait back in April. Havent tried it other than that.

One day I caught em all 50 yards from the launch. Another trip the water was pouring out the woods and across the road at the dead end to the south. Old man had a bunch if bass in his pirougue from fishing that. I tried but only got 2 dinks
