Wader repair for light weight waders
Posted by GREENHEAD22 on 1/5/19 at 6:18 pm00
I have used flex seal in a pinch on neoprene waders but not sure how it will work on the light weight waders. Any other recommendations for a similar product.

Has anybody ever used the old hot patches we used to use for inner tubes?
Disclaimer: I don't know diddly about waders.

hot patches work well for any kind of boot that is made of slick rubber...just rough up the rubber with sandpaper and apply like you are patching a tire.

Neither it's just a leak where the boot and leg meet. I cant find a visible leak.

Sounds like a seam. I used Flex Seal on mine and it has held up over a year.

Turn them inside out and use a leaf blower or air pump to fill them up. (don't over do it) Grab the top and seal it off. Submerse them in water and look for the leak. It should bubble.
