Hershey squirts in underwear
I'm trying to remember the company/incident from about 4 or 5 years ago. A helicopter went down right next to the rig (Gulf of Mexico). The pilot was quick and turned on the flotation modules. He was able to pick the helicopter back off the water and set it down on the helideck. They sent out two photos and a description of the incident. The first pick was the chopper sitting on the helideck with the flotation modules inflated. The second was a pic of someones seat with the "mess".

Couple guys and a dog put their PA-18 down in the channel yesterday after engine failure. Good samaritan picked them up in his boat. I'll imagine there is a mess on the seats under 450' of water.

But most all locals up there have a float plane instead of a car. It's like a Delta 88 stalling while going up the CCC bridge. shite happens all the time.

Roger, no pilot's license for you?

I've got a private pilots license but still fly with other folks more than I fly myself. I've had a 172 (it crashed) and partial ownership in a 20 (sold it)

We rent something or borrow on occasion. I've never owned floats, those cost more than the plane in many instances and I'm a cheap bastard.

Everyone has a boat, plane or both in Southeast. If not, you aren't going anywhere.
