I've been waiting to see a carbon fiber hull hit the market. With where the prices are going I dont think itll be too far out.

I personally am still a fan of glass over wood and rolled gunnels. The good ol days when you could get a very seaworthy boat for a reasonable price.

You can get a 34' center console ready to fish for what you can spend on a 20' bass boat from bass pro these days.

Yep, it is getting ridiculous.

However, there are some deals to be found on newer used boats with warranty.

Just save your money and wait for the next economic downturn/slowdown. Baws will be bending over backwards to get out of those monthly loan payments and dealership will be bending over backwards to get anyone with cash in the door.

Checked out the website.

Pretty sure I don't need a fishing boat that requires you to wear a helmet.

That is an odd thing to leave off of the specs page.

YF already has a carbon fiber option but it's an upcharge Barker Boat Works had one but i believe they are going out of bidness. Never underestimate the gullibleness of the general public to purchase the latest and greatest just because.

Agree with Janky
I have a habitual problem of looking at used boat classifieds daily.
Im looking for a "fixer upper" bass boat.
It seems prices for 20 plus foot fiberglass bass boats hardly ever go below $10,000 (Im talking 1995's with blown powerheads even)
5-10 yr old boats fall into the $25000 - $45000 range.

I know of two different guys selling two beautiful fiberglass bass boats for 20k or less. One is a Ranger, and one is a Legend. Not sure the exact length, but I know they frequent Toledo Bend, so they must be plenty big.

ETA: One of my best friends bought a 2005 Ranger last year in perfect condition for about 15k.

HH2: How much does it weigh?

Rep: Have I showed you the bedazzled key chain?

HH2: How much does it weigh?

Rep: And check out this revolutionary cup holder. Have you ever seen a round cupholder before? It is game changer. I mean it is the deal.

HH2: How much does it weigh?

Rep: Yes, tires comes standard on the trailer.

Not sure why they would dodge the weight. Heavy = ride good. Fast = allison/bullet. Theres no way that it is THAT much fatter than a well built glass boat.

Eta: if it is heavier, it's the first aluminum boat I've ever heard of that's heavier than a comparable glass rig

You sure seem to have an issue with “glitter boats”.

Frick your glitter boat. It makes you look like a lambo owner... only on the water. If you are a real fishermen in a boat that looks like womens makeup... you have been swindled. I've seen far too many glitter boats zooming around... making a few casts, looking at electronics and then zooming off again to take them seriously. 9 out of 10 "glitter" boats are driven by people that have no idea how to catch fish. They drive around in fancy boats expecting the fish to jump in like hoes jump in a fancy car.

Do you plan to saltwater fish in that vessel? Tell us more about what you ordered. I am genuinely curious not that I could buy one but curious.

Primarily will fish Venice but will also spend some time with it fishing Chef/Lake Pontchartrain. I met Randy & Greg Hooper and they talked me into it after showing me all of the features in it on when we were flying to Chicago. They talked me into flying up to their facility in Arkansas to check out the new design and the boat was really well designed and then this sucker wrote a check.

I'm putting a 300 Pro XS on the back but I added a little larger fuel tank so its 70 gallons instead of 58 just because of the distances I like to travel sometimes without having to go back to the marina for gas. I like the 22 ft length. The airwave seating was really nice and very comfortable. Lot of LED lights in it too. All of the bolts/screws/etc. are stainless steel and other corrosion proof metals.

The storage space and access hatches are spectacular. It has a ton of room and is well thought out. Look forward to getting in a few months.

And there it is. Didn't even have to soak the hook for a full day. Congratulations on showing your true feelings.
