They are biting very well. I'll be down there Thursday to Sunday.
Delta Duck area was affected the most from the storms

Heard Delta Duck got hit hard from some buddies that hunted down there. Baptiste area looked rough at end of teal season—can only imagine what it looks like now.
Best of luck this weekend down there, im sure there will be a million mudboats running around (one being me).

Got friends down there since Friday. Said delta looked like it got hit with agent orange. And naturally the birds where on the places you can’t hunt on refuge. But did say they’ve seen birds in every area they’ve fished and they’ve covered it all. And they’ve got the fish dialed in, even caught a sacalait today.
Go look at Marsh Man Masson's YouTube channel. He was there about a week ago and they caught a ton of bass. I won't point out which areas they were in. But if you watch the video some of the landmarks are very obvious. Unique Docks and pilings and canal entrances and such.
Bass have been on fire the last few weeks and the trout well in my opinion they are biting better down there than the bass. If the river would stop these small rises you could fish them in the river but the river remains not quite green to get the trout in there like the end of October.
Should find them. Brother went 2 weeks ago and caught 35, 59, 65 and 109 over 4 days. First 2 days by himself and 3 guys last 2 days.
Uncle went this past weekend and didn't do as well. Caught 40 bass and 25 trout over 2 days.

This is true. Good thing there were plenty of snails for the ducks to feast upon.

You didn’t happen to help someone out in Delta on the Sunday of opener with a bad battery did you?

Negative we fished instead of and picked up the camp Sunday in lieu of running to hunt delta.
