Just wanted to share with the crew here. I have a 2015 and have never found a good mount for my phone. Stumbled onto Hondo Garage out of Bozeman, MT. They fabricate an aluminum mount that clamps onto the internal part of the Toyota circular air vents. You can check it out here: LINK

I’ve been running it about 2 weeks and it’s legit. Rock solid, extremely easy to see, no permanent tape or holes or other crap, can still open/close my vent. Its comparable to putting apple CarPlay in my truck. Just wanted other tundra/Tacoma/sequoia folks to know about a great, American option.

$140 for a freaking phone mount? No thanks!

Nice to meet you Hondo... Thanks for pushing your products.

Haha yeah it’s expensive because it comes with ram mount stuff and it’s expensive on its own.

I use their unholey mount in my Tacoma.

I’ve had it since 2017 and was probably the most useful mod I’ve done.

I like weathertech stuff, But I don’t want to give up a cup holder and have to look down while driving. The unholey mount m, while expensive, has made me happy.

I just watched a video, will it affect the direction of the vent after it’s installed? If so, that’s a deal breaker, bc I’m always hot.

It says on their website it only fits Tacomas, not Tundras.

That's about the only way to get modern tech in a tundra.

Yep, I called and asked them if they made one that fit a tundra. They said “as long as you have the circular toyota air vents this should work fine.” It did.

It will lock it in place where you can’t spin the vent, but you can still open and close it and move the blades. I positioned it where the air was hitting me then mounted it, no problem.

Nan Gel Pads

I put these up right under my vent so I can still use my vent. They seem to work well, just have to clean them once a week or two with an alcohol swab.

Nah I get it, it is expensive. It works well though so I don’t mind paying for stuff that works. It’s way cheaper than putting an aftermarket head unit in with apple car play, since Toyota can’t get seem to get with modern technology.

Nice mount but I’ve been pretty happy with my proclipusa on my Tundra.
