The wife liked shooting it and was pretty accurate with it so I'm looking probably for another striker fired 9.

Brother, don't admit you left a gun in the car. That's my Bill Burr advice to you.

You mean your truck was stolen, driven into a lake, and you lost everything?

Was vehicle unlocked? If so, that is stupid of you. Also, quit leaving guns in cars. That is also stupid.

You shouldn't until you can successfully demonstrate a proficient ability to secure your firearm.

The unpopular truth is you're part of the problem. Sorry if it stings a little. But,

Nothing wrong with leaving a gun unlocked in the car. It's your right. Hell, your insurance might cover the loss. Best advice is to just keep something easily replaceable.

Youre car is an extension of your home, so accordingly, you're saying everyone should demonstrate the ability to keep guns stored safely and locked up in their home before acquiring one. Way to push the liberal agenda.

He made himself a victim by leaving a damn gun unsecured in a car.

Hopefully, nobody else will become a victim of a violent act due to his negligence-----but we all know how that is likely to unfold-----at least us with common sense.

Pretty sure the criminal made him the victim.

So, what kind of pistol should the OP donate to the stolen gun market next.

Really wish people would stop saying this. Not 100% true. It is a layman’s phrase used in reference to the ability to defend oneself in their vehicle SIMILARLY as in one’s home.

1. You can walk around naked in your house
2. You can get drunk as you want in your house
3. Try banging one out with your girlfriend/boyfriend in the police station parking lot

So?

Sometimes people do stupid shite that leads to them becoming victims of crime, which could have been avoided by not doing the stupid shite in the first place.

"Victim blaming" sounds like liberal bullshite to me.

Not to pile on, but leaving a gun in your car, in this day and age is just straight stupidity.

With all the news, criminals coming up driveways with guns checking doors, targeting trucks as they are more likely to have a firearm, etc etc.

There is not a single reason you should be leaving guns in the car overnight.

You leave your weapon unattended where anyone who should not take possession of it takes possession of it and your only a victim of your own poor decision making skills.

Castle Doctrine is not “Your car is an extension of your home.

Again if you leave your weapon unattended and someone who should not take possession of it takes possession of it then you’re only a victim of your own poor decision making abilities.

Continue on with your what if game if it makes you feel better but if more people were responsible firearms owners a lot less firearms would be stolen from vehicles and homes where no one is home and thieves do what thieves do.
