Tools to Keep on Boat

Posted earlier this week about shearing the pin in my trolling motor and having to end the trip as a result.
Since I've had to cut the prop off to get to change the pin, I'm pretty sure I would have to end the trip regardless of what tools I had with me.
Got me wondering, what are some must haves on board? Basic sockets, wrenches, and screwdrivers sufficient?
What say?

Heavy wire snips / small bolt cutters if you pick up a hidden / abandoned crab trap in the prop.

Good call, seen that happen, did not look like fun.

That's covered me in the past, but a filter wrench is a nice addition. Electrical pliers/strippers with spare butt and terminal connectors. Spare fuses aren't tools but can save the day, same for an extra spark plug or two. Spare prop, nut, and cotter pins. You could go on and on but I think that about covers the stuff I've had go wrong.

Wet wipes. Not really a tool, but handy...

Jumper cables. I've used them to help stranded boaters more than once. If you don't have a perko or house battery it can save you day.

I just got a new duckboat, and created a tool box that stays on board
1 - compact socket set
1 - needle nose pliers
1 - vice grip pliers
1 - roll duct tape
1 - quality lighter
looking to add to it as needed, so I'll be watching this thread for suggestions

I hear you should keep all your firearms on your boat.....

Zip ties... Not a tool, but they have saved me several times and have various uses

I keep a headlamp on board so I know if I need to do anything in the dark I can see. Also carry a spotlight.

Maybe not a tool, but a replacement belt for the engine. Dad and I took his new boat out in south texas years ago and the belt broke. He wasn't used to having motors that had belts so no replacement on board. Spent 2 hours getting back to the dock with the trolling motor burning through both batteries. Hopped out and walked us in the last 100 yards or so. Got in the truck at around 5:00 and it was 106.

spark plug socket wrench and extra spark plugs. cheap and could save your day or from running your engine on half of its cylinders all the way back in
