Tips for hunting a spot blind

As some may remember, my place is being logged. I know that deer will still maintain their travel areas even if it's logged. Problem being that I've lost all my landmarks and places that I could count on seeing deer are harder to find because my mental map of the area doesn't match anymore.
I should've logged everything in with a gps before hand but didn't think I'd have a problem. I'm gonna go down there tomorrow and do what I can but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what equals to starting over on the place I've been hunting my whole life.

I would put a stand in an area that I could see a long ways. As you see deer move you can place additional stands to cover those areas.

Thats what I was thinking but the idea of just picking a random tree to climb and hope something came by wasn't sitting to well with me. I've always scouted and made informed decisions, but this year I've been slacking. We'll see what happens I guess.

What they said. But what we noticed the first year was that the deer kinda stuck to the habits they had prior to the cutting. Same trails. Right up till they started getting shot in them. Then they transitioned to the edges and only came out at night into the open. Dusk and dawn.

I was meaning this weekend inparticular. Over time I'll rebuild my mental map but I've never tried to hunt a place where somebody didn't put me on a stand or I knew where I wanted to be before.

Find where there's still some thick stuff. They'll be going into it in the mornings and coming out of it in the evenings.

No problem.
I'm gonna get some koolaid packets on the way out of town. Maybe that'll draw them in. How much koolaid do I need?

Did they leave any oaks or were there any to begin with? If so, I would try to find an isolated white oak that's dropping acorns and as previously suggested, get up high in the vicinity of that tree.

I personally dont think it is safe to give a blind person a weapon.

Going to be tough bowhunting without much scouting. If its been a month or so since the logging you should be seeing a few trails now. If you could spend n afternoon scouting around it would help plenty.

I've heard that they're attracted to koolaid.
Blind people deserve the right to hunt too.
I'm going down there in the morning, gonna scout, spot/stalk then maybe set up my climber for Sunday. I bought some acorn rage powder stuff in a bag and some g5 montecs at academy with some new quikfletchs.

Your land is entirely different so you will need to hunt differently. Does will walk right out in a newly cut area but the bucks will hang out in the edges till dark. Look for where the trails are leading to the clear cut and hunt a staging area in the woods on the edges of the clearcut. Same thing happened with my land last year and I saw more deer doing this than I ever saw in years before with standing timber.
