I guess they were shooting either over water or some WMA rule I dont know about?

the no lead for ducks is hilarious.

I did not know this either.

Note that on state wildlife management areas and LDWF leased fields, non-toxic shot only is required when hunting doves; no lead shot is allowed.

No lead shot on WMA’s. Easily avoidable if you read the rules.
The funniest is Rapides Parish taking a non game bird. Dumbass.
Oh, and Concordia went pretty hard for the volume award.

rallying? like when you shoot bottle rockets over a levee to try to get the ducks to fly? or running pouldeau with a mudboat?

My guess would be riding an ATV through a field to push doves towards hunters.

When it's slow and those mockingbirds float through a field it's hard for kids to contain themselves.
and killdeer
and cardinals
and egrets

I was hunting at a club one time where the landowner was ticketed for exactly that. He had the club manager ride around on a 4 wheeler to stir up the ducks that had been balling up in a big rice field that we were hunting next to.
The ticket said: Rallying The Ducks

I would like to know how many people have truly never done it. I mean maybe not for hours on end but you know.
“ I’ll leave out and pass through that pond on the way out” “ hold your ears I’m gonna shoot across the pond at that wad of birds stacking up” “ them birds ain’t gonna keep staying in that corner of the field all day”

You can always count on Catahoula and Concordia to be well represented in these

Had a buddy do that once. Posted it on Facebook took, bragging about killing 4 different species of dove: white-winged, Eurasian collared, mourning, and common ground.
Had to point out to him that you can't shoot the last one.
Also, damn...we have alot of baws that either don't hunt WMAs or don't read the regs. It's been nontoxic on WMAs for 3 years now I believe.
I saved some ole baws some money a few years ago when the dumbasses were walking out to the Sherburne dove fields on opening day at 7 AM. Frick people, READ THE REGS!!
