I grew up fishin Cocadrie, Pointe au chien, fourchon, etc.
Now in suburbia Houston with 3 boys ages 6-9, I'm feeling the hard urge for salt water........
Man......it is killin me not to have a boat.
Ideally, I'd have my canal home in Jamaica Beach and a 22-24 bay boat, but I'm desperate. I'll just take the boat now......

What's your budget ?
I know where a good deal on an 05 23ft explorer can be had if you like that style.

Can you launch, trailer and drive a boat by yourself?
Navigate waterways alone?
Not drown your children because of ignorant boating behavior(s)?
If 'yes' to all, google 'center console' in your price range.

Agreed.
Nevertheless, I've witnessed more foolishness than skill on the water than I would have ever imagined.

Don't have one.
Owned a ski boat since 2003.

I enjoyed my boat before the horrible, recent boating accident.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Panga.
The most versatile boat for it's size and for the Gulf coast.
And no, I don't own one...so I'm not simply propping up my own make.
I want one though.
