Tikka t3x laminated

Does anyone have one of these? I am trying to pick between that and the light/superlite. I know the laminated will be a tad heavier, which is not an issue. I'm mainly wondering if the laminated stock is plenty stiff, and will hold up to bipod use without flexing and touching barrel.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Do it. I have the T3 Laminated (pre-3x). I had a tripod on it but given my hunting setup it’s no longer required. I doubt you’ll experience any buyer’s remorse.

Tikka and Sako are fine rifles

I have a tikka t3 .270 WSM. I think I’ve had it 10 years. Mounted a great scope with great mounts 10 years ago and shoots dead nuts. Zero issues, ever.
Best long gun I’ve ever had

I may be mistaken, but I thought that was part of the purpose of having a laminated stock, because laminating the layers vertically makes a stiffer stock, as opposed to making it out of a single piece.
Get it, you wont be sorry. I have a T3 Stainless that I have put 30 rounds through so far, and it seems to be tightening up with every shot.
Also, IMO if you are pulling your stock into your shoulder properly, not anticipating your shot, letting everything buck naturally..there should never be any pressure on the forearm part of the stock. It's only there for aiming. You shouldn't be putting much pressure there. All shock should be coming straight back to your shooting shoulder. By the time any other stress happens to you or the rifle, the round should already be 300 yards downrange.

You wont find a smoother action at that price point. Put a great scope on and you will be beyond happy.
I recently went with the Razor LH HD, a bit lighter than the rest of the Razor lines and a bit cheaper because of no zero stop, FFP, but the glass is great.

Was checking out a Mauser (M18) at Academy yesterday. Pretty impressive . around 650 bucks.

My only concern is that Mauser is a brand new line with no real world tracking yet. Maybe it will be a shooter.

Damn i thought mausers were up in the $2k range

first 1 I have ever looked at, besides the old ones.
Must be a new line made to compete price wise with Tikka and CZ and the like.
Overall, it didn't seem much different from a Savage Axis. The action was smooth as silk though. Really perfect, if you ask me. No slop at all, but effortless to operate.
I hope my tikka will get like that soon, might have to work on it a little bit to get it that easy.
