I'm selling my ATN Thor HD 2-8x and upgrading. What is my best option for $3-4k? I'm leaning towards the FLIR 536 right now. My buddy has a set and the clarity is really impressive.

I will be using it for hog hunting where we have a lot of fields. I like the 4x base power of the 536 although I'll be giving up FOV. Thoughts and recommendations?

Are you having problems with ATN or just simply looking to upgrade?

Within the next week or so I was planning to buy that scope and would like to know if any issues.

I haven't had it long but zero issues. I've heard the battery life is bad with AA batteries but I have the ATN external battery and it does great. If you're on Facebook, go to "Louisiana Deer Hunters" page and search ATN. A lot of guys run them on there and love them. A lot of videos on there too.

Yeah those guys seem to enjoy the atn.
Shoot me an email with a price.

Why not just upgrade to the 640 sensor and stay with ATN?

That's also an option. Looking at all options. Just really liked the FLIR 536 when I used it and have read nothing but good things about them.

I recently purchased a Pulsar Trail XQ38 ($3200) and really like it. I hunt with guys who use ATN and Night Optics. Everyone agrees the Pulsar is definitely the clearest, even over the $6K Night Optics.

One guy has the cheap ATN and after hunting with the Pulsar for a couple of hours, I looked through his scope. At the time, I felt I would just assume stay at home than hunt with that thing.
