The cup size containers you can buy at academy don't have much punch, get something big to mix it in. To set it off, you need a round that travels at 2000 feet/second.

It is awesome but yeah it will cause issues with neighbors of they want to have issues. Check out videos of tannerite and the dude that blows up beaver dams is pretty cool also.

It’s fun stuff but it was more powerful 20 years ago. They’ve dialed back the strength of it somewhat.

In my small Hill Country County, unless the caller reporting an explosion to the Sheriff's Dept also describes a mushroom shaped cloud, dispatcher will usually just reply "That's probably so-and-so shooting tannerite targets again" and hangs up.
