Was looking for a place around Toledo Bend to spend a couple of nights while me and nephew fish the lake during the day? Any suggestions?

South Toledo Bend State Park on the La. side is nice. They have cabins / RV camping / and Tent Camping.

If you don't mind going to the Texas side then Fin and Feather is a really nice place. On the LA the only ones I have experience with are Big Bass and Bass Haven. But for the love of god do not go to Bass Haven, that place is a shite hole!

Big Bass wasn't bad at all, though. Fin and Feather is badass!

what area of the lake u plan on fishing? bridge bay resort on the la side right by the pendleton bridge is solid, restaurant right across and close to toledo tackle, i stay at alpine marina on palo gaucho when i'm only going for a couple nights...it's $49/night but it is a shithole, but its not bad for a place to crash when you've been fishing all day, fin and feather, cypress bend, and wildwood resort are some nicer places

Is the correct answer.
Fin and Feather is nice too.
Cypress Bend at mid-lake.

Do NOT stay at Bass Haven, terrible.

This would be my only concern when choosing somewhere. There are plenty of places to stay all over the lake. Im assuming if you have to ask though, you havent been much and not sure where you will be fishing either.

Housen is one of my favorite coves to fish, especially this time of year.

Pendleton isn't closed now? I thought it was? Either way...the State Park is the answer...

That big arse bar and restaurant at bass haven isn't open yet. A worker told me and a buddy it probably won't open all year.

Pendleton Bridge? no

op: lots of good places to fish on the tx side around the mid-lake area and a little further north on the la side

Big Bass is fine for just the guys, nothing fancy and it's reasonable.
