I have a gas powered Echo trimmer, line if .095. I have always used the orange standard line.

I picked up a yard of blue twisted line that a lawn service had discarded. That stuff cuts crazy good almost at idle.

Echo makes a diamond line which is twisted and black.

What are you guys using that you like?

I got so much of the Echo .095 stuff that it will be a few years before I need more. Might try out the twist stuff when I do.

I have an old spool of the Echo .95 cross fire for my old SRM2100. It's a pain in the butt even with a speed feed head. Only a couple more hundred feet to go until I treat myself to a line that doesn't bind up.

I just got some Copperhead Vortex Professional. Haven't tried it yet but it came highly recommended. I got the 230 feet version.

They need to be either nylon or metal. Not plastic.

Vortex and twisted echo are both good. They lay out flat for an even cut and last better than the others. Stihl supposed to be good but twice the price

The regular orange colored is terrible. I have to re-spool every time I use my trimmer. This stuff:

I changed out to a similar head like this and have found it far superior and easier to change out.
