Fished a tourney on Sabine River and won with 18.82 pounds. Monster bag for that body of water.

Congrats on the win. That is a heck of a bag!

Got my boat out of the shop Friday. Sunday morning I brought it out to Lake Martin and messed around for a little while. There were a ton of boats out there and it was kind of annoying. Managed 3 fish, but at least they were some quality.

At one point I was able to get 5 boats in the frame. That’s about what it looked like all over the lake.

A lot of them were perch fishing. But yeah, it was a party.

I caught 11.19lbs with a 4.10lb big fish. Fished the Basin for the Media Singles. Should've came out 12th, but not knowing the rules cost me 12 spots b/c of a 2lb penalty.

Went crappie fishing. The water was muddy and 4 feet higher than the last time I fished the area. I caught two stripe (white bass), a channel cat, and a skipjack. Not a crappie in sight.

My weekend outings were pretty pitiful.

Saturday morning I took my son squirrel hunting with our dogs. Of course the squirrels weren't moving where we were, and my old dog decided to cross a big bayou in search of one (something she rarely does). At one time she was .6 miles from us, but I finally called her out. She wouldn't come back across, so I swam the bayou and drug her back across it.
Jr. did shoot a coon that they treed.

In the afternoon I went fishing at Indian Creek, aka the Dead Sea. The name was confirmed as I only had two bites and caught one 12" bass.
At least my old boat ran good.

I did have a nice steak with the wife that night.

30 bass on Friday and 24 on Saturday. Lower Bayou black is on fire right now. Seapickle was on the second trip with me.

Tourney this weekend. We didn't place, missed too many fish.

Stuck this one pre-fishing the day before.

Went to the Rez with a buddy.

I caught 8 bass. Biggest 5 were 4.62, 3.95, 3.46, 3.13, 2.0.

It's good fishing over here at the moment (on the verge of being great) but we are about to get absolutely hammered with some big tournaments. BASS central open starts March 1. There were a lot of boats out practicing this weekend.

The amount of money people have to spend on bass fishing these days is just astounding to me. I can't tell you how many boats I saw with over $10k in just electronics and power poles.

I managed four trout and a red in Hopedale while fighting off a swarm of mutant gnats in a well protected canal. I couldnt wait for the winds to pick up to blow em out. Once the winds started blowing I wished the gnats were back.

Spent the weekend at a friend's camp. The neighbors were hog dogging so we joined them. Then my son and I sat up all night watching a feeder and this big-arse sow finally showed up at 3am.
