You could have a fricked O2 sensor or MAF sensor
IIRC, Ford has a code on the door with axle ratios. If not, it is on a sticker on the rear end.

Its most likely me, it still comes up some after long trips, like a couple tenths of a mile though.

Oh shite. It needs breaking in for one thing
2200 at 80 isn't shite. My dad's truck (4.10's) turns about 2200 at 70.
Far too much lead foot is the main culprit here. No damned doubt.

GM need to quit fricking around and just put out a 5.3 with 360hp and 25mpg already. Tell Ford to take their sheman interiors and shove em.

When I pull my travel trailer I get a sweet 7.5-8 MPH. I have to stop every 150 miles to get gas! Pulled it to Colorado on 2 different occasions and that is painful to the wallet.

Nah programmer doesnt help that much.
I have an 05 Silverado Z71, 3" lift and 33x12.5, prior to the lift and tires I got in the 18-20 range. After the lift it went down to 14-15, I had a programmer on my old 98 that I took off when I sold it and it just so happened to work for my 05 also. So I set it for fuel saver mode, I get 15.5. Were it not free I would have been pissed. K&N intake is next on my agenda.
