Yes.
The biggest improvement you'll ever see in fuel mileage is keeping your foot out of it and keeping it at or under 65mph

Update on what ended up being the culprit?
new tie rod ends, and new bushings on the trac bar. Now it rides just like it did before the wobble----like shite.

It rarely sees anything under 80 on the interstate.

Do you really have to ask why your mileage is so shitty?
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:38 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
I drove my 01 the same way, got way better MPG and ran better until the end. I am really thinking the ratio is fricked up on it.
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:42 pm to GREENHEAD22
Meh
It's fuel injected. That shouldn't really matter since it sets it's own A/F ratio.
You just need to take your damned foot out of it. You might have different gears.

Yea my 01 did have custom gears including a granny gear which was awesome on the interstate.

I get < 15 in my 2wd truck. Have a muffler and cold air intake too (installed before I bought). It sucks.

You have to be the queerest dude on the OB. Do this next time your bf comes in town
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:45 pm to GREENHEAD22
He's talking about rear end gears
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:46 pm to GREENHEAD22
You could have a fricked O2 sensor or MAF sensor which would cause it to run in open loop and get shitty mileage, but it would also throw a code.
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:49 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
I have to bring it in for a oil change and rotation when I get back in, may get them to take a look. That or give it another couple K and see if it starts to pan out.
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:50 pm to GREENHEAD22
Got a tach? How many RPMs are you turning at 60mph?
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:52 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
Not much, 1500 give or take, that what I first looked at thinking it was the gears. I am a count hair over 2200 at 80.
