All that managed displacement shite is flat out stupid.
All the extra complexity for negligible gains in mileage and an engine that never knows how to act just pisses me off.

Just to make some people feel better about their gas mileage, I get 11 city and about 15 highway in my Grand Cherokee with the 4.6 V8

No son, the old GMCs with the 454 is the only correct answer.

Is that with or without having to pull over on the shoulder every 5 miles?

Big green will sport some flavor big block eventually in it's life.
I want an HT502, but that's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy down the list of shite I want to do to it.

Before, during, and after. I got that shite fixed today, but my dad just informed me that he's giving me his Tahoe when he gets a new truck soon.

Damn.
And I get pissed when my car only gets 26mpg. . . the norm is 28-34!

Update on what ended up being the culprit?
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:29 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
So what you think is up with my new truck? Just needs some miles on it and laying off the heavy foot?
Posted on 5/9/13 at 9:30 pm to GREENHEAD22
This engines only got 50k miles on it so it'll be in there for a good while longer.
First major upgrade will be axles.
