Snake ID help

This is from a friend's HOA Facebook. About half say it's a banded water snake, half say it's a moccasin. Figured you baws would know.

Look at the head, doesn't look triangular, it's steamlined with the body.

Shape of the head is easiest way to tell.

But when you put one of those water snakes in an amazon box and leave it your front porch until some porch bandit takes it........ it may as well be a king cobra when they open it....

If it was a moccasin it would also have a stubby tail. The tail gives it away for me that it’s a water snake

If photobucket still worked on here this is the time when I'd post a picture of my 8yr old daughter holding a popsicle in one hand and a diamondback watersnake in the other. Alas, photobucket won't work here, so just imagine it. I think it was an orange popsicle. Snake was about 20" long
