Man i always wear them until the temps are 40s or below. I hunt a swamp, and too many snakes around. I hate using flashlights, so walking in and out at dark is a gamble... i really dont know what you are looking for in a snake boot, i seriously bought the cheapest ones which were like $75 at the time. Im sure more expensive ones are more comfy or better quality material that last. But ive no complaints with mine over the past 4/5 yrs.

Get the Lacrosse 4x Alpha Snake boots - $160.

I wear them and they're great. Only issue is that when i got mine a couple years ago they ran VERY small. I had to order a size up. So if you're going to get some, try on some before or just order up a size and know you may need to send them back for a different size.

The boots themselves are excellent once fitted correctly.

I have a pair of Rocky's. My dad bought them as a gift. I don't like them. They're hot as hell and stiff and uncomfortable. I never wear them unless I'm turkey hunting with my dad.

The RedHead slip on ones are pretty comfortable compared to the more expensive Chippewa ones.

All the baws out here in TX seem to wear the Chippewa ones.

Lacrosse tall grass , they are similar to a pair of square toe work boots.
Wear them year around till it gets cold enough to wear insulated boots.

I use them bow hunting with a climber if that's what you're asking. Never had a problem climbing with them.
