With the time change I ate my breakfast on the screened in porch in the dark. Listening to several gobblers getting ready to fly down. April 13 can’t come soon enough!

Will be sitting against a tree on Sat in MS.

have been getting several toms on cameras and I'm ready to see if they'll gobble this year.

I was at deer camp this past weekend. Woke and went to the outhouse. One was gobbling its arse off about 20yds behind it.

You're living my dream----to be rural enough for wildlife to be seen and heard right outside your door.

Probably not a neighbor in rock throwing distance with a good arm.

Someday soon I hope.

This happened to us Saturday 3/9 near Gloster, MS. Had one gobbling his butt off about 100 yds out while on roost. Heard about 5-6 more off in the distance. Once they hit the ground, not another peep. Hunted until about 10, and then again 12:00-2:30.
Going to give it another go this weekend though.

3/4 mile in either direction. Got busted in the AM. Harvested a nice old Tom in the PM. 22lbs, 9” beard, 1-1/4” spurs.

Post some pics if you can. I’m getting my first hunt in this weekend and hope to get after it every weekend through the end of the season. We are about fifteen minutes north of St Francisville.
