I put a 2-7x32 on my grandpa's old Marlin .35 Remington. It's perfect for it.

I have a 2x7 on my M77/357. A fixed 4x would be fine as well. On my 30/30 Marlin, I took the scope off of it and use the iron sites. I can hit a steel plate at 100 yds with it. All I ever need.

I use a Skinner Express sight on my .357 lever gun.

You can also pick up extra apertures:

Or go with no aperture for a ghost ring peep sight.

i mean, if it's a rifle i'd go with standard irons or if it has a picatinny on top, then spend top dollar on a holographic like an eotech bc the point of a brush gun is indestructibility.

Beware though, some of our south Louisiana brethren here believe a "brush gun" is something a person uses when they try to shoot through a thicket at what they think is a deer.

Or you know, us folk in North Louisiana piney woods that happen to have a creek bottom that has hardwood left and you can only see between 50-100 yards

1x4 Leupold. Put one on my woodsmaster carbine and love it.

I second this!! My iron sights are these skinner sights a tip I picked up from Hitchcock 45. I don’t like scopes on lever actions especially a .44 anything over 100 yards is pushing it…if you can’t shoot accurately at 100 with open sights you need lasik

Not really a such thing as a brush gun. The same size twig that would deflect a 30.06 or .270 or 6.5 cripplemore round will deflect your round.

This is true, but a short rifle or carbine has some advantages if you aren’t taking long shots.

Concur, certainly is easier to maneuver.
