First Impression: Gun is smaller than my Shield 9. I would never consider pocket carrying the Shield but the P365 can be pocket carried in some instances.

I ran 200 rounds of WWB and 30 rounds of Federal HST. No malfunctions at all. I am left handed so I didn't have the problem some people were having with their hand contacting the slide stop or take down lever.

Trigger is as nice as advertised and I shot it better than the Shield. After cleaning I didn't find any of the peening or wear problems that some people were getting. Mine is the second generation with the X-Ray 3 sights so it had the modifications made by Sig after people were sending guns back.

Bottom Line: Love this gun and Shield is out.

What's the trigger pull weight of both that you shot?

I don't have a gauge but I've seen the Sig's on Youtube anywhere from 5-6.5 lbs

Good first take.

The grip on the Sig appears to be wider in the second pic. Not by much but still looks like it's wider.

Have you compared the magazine side-by-side with a Shield mag as well?

Hopefully Sig just set the benchmark that other companies will now chase. Competition always leads to better products!

Sig is just a bit wider at the bottom to get that stagger magic going for extra rounds

Great review and nice groups. Like someone said, there is no reason to buy a S&M, Walther, Springfield, Glock, etc. sub if sig got the problems worked out. They will have to reverse engineer that mag or die.

One gun is never enough and a bunch of the same isn't much fun either.

OP: excellent post thanks for the info

My 229 has those x ray sights. They are the best handgun sights I've ever seen.

Hopefully they make that 365 in .40/357 in the near future.

My 229 is a 357 sig and there are no good small subcompact offerings in that caliber that I can find. I really don't want another caliber.

Not knocking 357sig. It’s a damn capable caliber and in heavy pistol like the 229 it does a very good job at taming it.

But the 365 is on the same size scale as a khar pm40. My dad has that gun and the 40 caliber makes it not enjoyable to even slow fire. Speed things up a bit and it only gets sloppier and less enjoyable

^^ This

How long did you have it on order?

I have one on order from two different dealers. First in gets the money. It is more than likely I will be saying bye bye to the XDS.

Yea it's not ideal for sure. The other caliber I have a bunch of is .357 mag though and I ain't getting a super light fire breather. I've done that before and it really sucks.

I think that’s what you would have on your hands with a 357sig in a small single stack and I already know what the 40 is like.

Come to the dark side of 9mm.

Atleast in the subcompact and single stack world.

I think the larger calibers still have an argument in full-size guns and especially in all metal framed guns like the sig. but in a single stack subcompact there is no better gun than a 9mm lodes with 124gr hst

Nice write up!!

Can't wait to get mine to the range. Picked it up last Monday from IG once they got their initial order in. Glad I did the pre-order thru them.

Holsters are N82. I found it at Academy in DS. Cabela will have one as soon as I cancel the one I had ordered through them. I had one ordered through Brownells ( cancelled that) and was also on list at Hebert’s. Hebert’s called me as I was walking out of Academy saying gun was in. I was 20th on their list

Ive had a couple 9mm and I just can't make myself like it. I'll be toting a .357 LCR before I get another 9
