For those of you who have this gun...how snappy is it?

I see you can get a 12 round and 15 round mag for this gun. Does this make a difference in the recoil?

This gun would be my CC but I want my wife to be able to shoot it in a home defense situation or when it is in the car.

Following for this reason as well. I was looking at them for her to carry as well.

I got one not to long ago... Recoil isn't to bad. About like any other gun that size I've shot.

Why not get a full size pistol for this case?

Lay hands on both the 365 and 365xl before making a choice.

So you'll have those to ask... "why not just go with a full size pistol" and I say, pick whatever the hell your wife is comfortable shooting. If she's adventurous, then find a place where you can rent her a few options and go from there.

Your wife, your home, your family... your choice.

We have a full size pistol at the house that my wife shoots very well. We have a big house and different guns in different parts of it. I want my wife to be able to shoot this one too.

Isn't the p365 a DAO trigger?

I have the Walther PPS M2 (one to look at) and the larger mag allows your pinky to be on the grip/mag ext. so it is definitely easier to shoot w/ the longer mag. It is a double stack mag so the added bullets add weight and help control recoil too.

Recoil isn't bad at all. My wife had one of the original ones that she loved. She saw they were coming out with one with the manual safety. That was the only thing she didn't like about it. I just purchased that one for her and now have a P365 as my CC to go in rotation with my P938. P365 has less recoil than the P938 and I can shoot much better groups with the P365.

The arguments for one vs. the other in striker fired pistols are interesting to me. I always think of it the way revolvers work. Not everyone does.

Never really understood why you would want a DAO trigger, unless you're willing to dedicate a ton of time mastering it.

I always kinda consider striker fired in a category of their own.

I certainly wouldn't consider it a traditional DAO trigger since the pull is much shorter and lighter.

Is the p365 trigger like a Glock or a Kahr?

I think it's much more comparable to a Glock

It's single action. Decent trigger actually.
