Looking for a used 2017-2018 F-150 lariat with ~40,000 miles of less. I know this is a popular truck on the OB. Where to start? What’s a fair price to expect to pay?

I’d check out Cargurus.com

That’s where I found mine a couple years ago. The website will show if the asking price is a good deal or not.

You're probably going to be in the 34-40 range depending on amenities

I bought my 2014 in 2016 with a little under 40,000 miles.

There was quite a big price difference between a 1 year old truck and a 2 year old. It was about 10-12K difference in price just bc of the year and all the 2015's I looked at had more mileage than what I ended up with. But they did change body styles from 2014 to 2015.

I think they were asking 32K and I got it for 27K and they gave me 3k more for my truck than the other places I looked.

But its crazy how much trucks have jumped up in price. I would just guess you're going to be in the 35K range.

Just curious, for those of you who have sunroofs in the newer trucks, have y’all had any problems with them?

Every single time I mention wanting a sunroof to my old man or buddies, I always get the same ‘you’ll have nothing but problems with it’ line.. was just curious about y’alls experience with them

Got a loaded 2015 lariat with 32k miles I’ll sell you. Great condition besides a barely noticeable small dent in chrome front bumper. Damn parking garage.

Not a problem yet, and it’s working on 2 years old this November.

Because they still think it’s 1980. It’s not. They don’t just randomly frick up anymore like they used to.

If you do have problems...Mine wouldn’t close. Dealer wanted $2000. Bought part kit on sunroof doctor for $95 and Glass Doctor (windshield place) installed the parts for $225.

4WD and sunroof are optional amenities that will have a pretty big effect on price within that range

Had a few issues with mine in my 16 that extended warranty has covered so far. Probably wont open it once that warranty runs out.

I'd stick with the 2017 if you looking 5.0!

There have been way too many issues with the 2018 5.0's!

I had my sunroof fail on my 2013 f150. Dealer was 2300 to replace it. Ouch.

You don't buy a truck with a sunroof for yourself. You buy it for the a-hole who is going to buy it once you're done with it.

Wouldn't work for me. I sell my used vehicles by the pound.
