I usually get my crawfish shipped through Louisiana Crawfish Co. but their price for 90+lbs is still 6.39 for field run. First week in march last year I got 150lbs of select through them for $3.50 (OT joke in there).

Anyone know of any place that ships right now for a decent price?

weather has a lot to do with crawfish farming and comparing prices from week to week and year to year

Natchitoches, LA. (LA Crawfish Company)
Mon, March 5, 2018 - Low 60, High 79
Tue, March 5, 2019 - Low 27, High 49

the sub-freezing temperatures several days ago has current live prices around $2.75 - $3.00 lb.

edit: I bought 250 lbs. (7 sacks) last Friday and paid $3.25 lb. live … it is what it is

They're still going for $3.50-$3.75/lb locally right now. Can thank the couple late blasts of cold weather for that. Then having a late Lent this year isn't going to help much because its going to keep demand high until Easter (April 21 this year).

You bought them from a place that ships them for that price and got 250lbs shipped? I can get them from my local guy for close to that price but he doesn't package and ship them. Most places I have seen that package and ship are still above $6

I picked my crawfish up from the farmer in Laffy who sells directly to the public. I then drove them 6 hours for the boil I did last Saturday.

I have no doubt if this week's temps were in the 70's and 80's, your shipped crawfish prices would be equivalent to what you paid last year.

Where are you shipping the crawfish ?

Bradenton, FL

Taking our son (adopted) to see his brother. His brother wanted us to come down and visit for his birthday and have a crawfish boil.
