How do they compare to other manufactures?

Nice boats with quality parts. They are fast but are a wet riding boat

Nice boats and look great but no damn way are they worth the obscene price tag new or used. You can get way better boats for that money.

They look great and are built well but will need a wet suit to ride on it.

Just all depends on where you go and what you're out in, and which model boat of course. I have one and just use common sense on when and where to go depending on weather and conditions, never get wet or need a wet suit. I will say the price they want for them now are not worth it but that's the case for most boats nowadays. New boat prices are ridiculous, just like trucks.

The 27 Carolina's are the best riding bay boats out there.

didn't know they started making a Carolina flared bow. I bet it will ride well and be dry. Guess they listened to all the people complaining about them!

Nice looking boat. Guess they are trying to compete with the yellowfin 26 hybrid.

Btw a 2018 like pictured above runs about 135k

No doubt, the price is scary. I will stick with my 2400 Blazer Bay.

I sold a blazer Bay fisherman to buy a shearwater

I love shearwaters and would probably not own another boat other than yellowfin, but for that kind of money I think I could be persuaded

Craftsmanship is second to none, but they do not like rough water.

Doesn't look like much of one if any. The Blazer pictured has more of the Carolina flare than the shearwater.

That's what I was thinking. I went outside to compare my Z to the Carolina and honestly don't see much difference. Hull looks same design, probably just several inches deeper.

Nice looking boat msu. Love the black boats but such a pain to keep looking good and scratch/swirl free. I have to buff on mine couple times a year. Can tell it definitely takes on rougher water than the shearwaters.

The black looks amazing, but it is a pain in the arse, esp with lures hitting the side of the boat etc.... I want to have it painted black with awlgrip soon. It is suppose to hold up a lot better.

At 27ft is it really even a "bay boat" anymore

I would consider it more of a hybrid.
