I am thinking about joining either Sea Tow or TowBoatUS. Primary area that I fish is Grand Isle and Lower Lafourche. Does anyone have any experience with either in those areas, and recommendations? Edit: Just checked the TowBoat site, no locations in Louisiana. Any experience with Sea Tow on Grand Isle?

Left Fairhope headed to Biloxi. Planned on fueling up at Dauphin island. Saw a storm coming in and decided to out run it. Ran out of fuel in sight of marina. Radioed sea tow ocean springs or Biloxi for fuel drop. Call dispatched from Gulfport/Pass Christian arrived an hour later with no fuel. Offered to tow me to Gulfport, but I declined. Gave me less than 5 gal, stole 2 dock lines, and billed me $475. So, I say TowboatUS, though I haven’t used them yet.

Umm, it's a much better deal to be a SeaTow MEMBER than just calling for service... $125/year, money well spent.

Since 2007, SeaTow has towed my boat back in 3 times (power cable rusted out, stator went out, and finally when my old motor gave out for good- rust in cylinders

Like AAA for the water.
