Really? I saved a few weedeaters with it and more than one boat motor
Yep. My 5 year old weedeater would not idle. Runs like new after a tank or two with Seafoam added.

I had a weedeater run like shite after I used it once. Another time, I ran it in a weedeater and a blower and they both shut down and needed to be torn apart, fuel drained, and rebuilt. I think it might mess with the fuel/oil ratio, and it definitely fouled out the plugs multiple times.
Hadn't ever had a problem with that weedeater in it's 10yr life and that included going underwater for 2 days during Katrina. Just ran Seafoam to see if it would make a difference, and regretted it after
I understand what it actually does to fuel, but for some reason, it killed all three of those motors

Seafoam saved my outboard once.
1 gallon of gas, 1 can of seafoam, and however much oil it needed.
Smoked out about 20 acres, but it ran like a raped ape after that.

The fuel I was using was new and the correct ratio. The motors ran for a minute and then all three cut out. Maybe there was an arse load of carbon buildup on the top of the pistons that came loose. They all ran fine after I cleaned all of the Seafoam fuel mixture out of them. I didn't take off the heads and clean them or the pistons either.
It was just run, Seafoam mixed in fuel, run for a minute, not run.

I run it in my boat every tank . I haven't had any issues yet but no telling when I might though . We don't have a lot of stations without ethanol in the gas so I don't have much of an option . It works wonders on Briggs engines tho

Never heard of that. That's pretty sucky
Posted on 3/4/13 at 10:47 pm to rsbd
I've heard of it. What's it do?
Posted on 3/4/13 at 10:52 pm to Redfish2010
Cleans carbon deposits and stabilizes fuel . Heaven in a bottle
Posted on 3/4/13 at 10:53 pm to Rayvegas1484
Makes a smoky mess or what?
Posted on 3/4/13 at 10:54 pm to Redfish2010
Good Lord yes.
Tremendous amounts of smoke

They wouldn't run wide open, and gradually died. There wasn't any gunk in the carb when I cleaned it afterwards either. My guess is it had to have taken the carbon buildup off of the pistons and done something with it so it wouldn't run. I didn't clean out the combustion chambers or run them without the plugs. Maybe it separated the oil from the fuel, but I dunno. I a not a Seafoam engineer. They absolutely wouldn't run until I swapped the fuel
I have gonna stick to cleaning the old fashioned way from now on, a toothbrush and hammer

I'm no mechanic, where's it go?
Posted on 3/4/13 at 10:57 pm to Redfish2010
In the gas or sucked up through a vacuum line, depending on what you want to do
Posted on 3/4/13 at 11:00 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
I may give this a shot soon

It helps . Sea foam guarantees to stabilize fuel for 2 years I think . Stabil won't guarantee it
Posted on 3/4/13 at 11:06 pm to Rayvegas1484
Stabil is fantastic for stabilizing fuel. Can't make myself stray from it in favor of seafoam for that job.
Posted on 3/4/13 at 11:12 pm to DownshiftAndFloorIt
I can't either . It's been too good to me to leave it now

Wait a sea foam thread and no alxtiger
