Don't fall into that buy 3 get 1 free stuff, it was still pricier. Go from the tire size specs, instead of the vehicle. You get a broader choice that way (not sure about Vettes, but there were "SUV" stuff that didn't show when I put my truck in).

For the truck I was looking Goodyear, Cooper, Michelin, big name brands.
Found the Coopers I wanted, selected "free ship to store" instead of home delivery. Went to the Walmart I specified, they called when they came in, mounted em up.

I have a Sam's membership (got it specifically to save money on a jeep battery - won't renew it) and I still bought my two recent sets of tires at Discount Tire. It was a better deal and they're super easy to work with.
