you could buy any close to similar trailer length thats a POS junk but has a title, then remove any vin sticker or tag to swap them, go to DMV with paperwork from POS trailer that you bought and you then have a clean title, registration, and license plate for the trailer.

unlike with cars, there is nothing remotely specific and/or identifiable with trailers to stop you from doing this

if you have metal vin tags that are riveted on, switch them, most are just peel and stick stickers that fall off any way so use heat gun to peel it off (you cannot reuse it so you cant swap them)

i am in no way suggesting you do this, but others have done this to solve your problem
