Ruger 10/22 vs Marlin Model 60.

I have both, and really like each of them.

I grew up with the Marlin, and got a 10/22 about 5 years ago (57 years old) so I'm kind of late trying out the 10/22, but as much as I love the ability to modify the 10/22, and the 25 round magazines are awesome, I think my Marlin is more accurate for me.

What are your thoughts on these rifles ? And which do you prefer ?

Edit: So glad it's now easy to get .22 ammo again !!

10/22 is a cheaper AR which is adult Legos.

I say that, some 10/22s can cost twice many ARs. I love to build them and see what they can do. From 4" barrels to 100 yard tack drivers.

I have both . My marlin is 20 plus years old. I prefer to hunt with the marlin it's more accurate. I'm not into the ar platform so my 10/22 is stock. Thought about building one with bull barrel etc but never got around to it.. I do have a sw mp 15/22 that's fun to shoot.

Both my 10/22 and Marlin Model 60 are stock as well. I own a couple of AR's, but I tend to shoot the .22's a lot more, mainly because ammo is much cheaper.

I have a 10/22 with a green mountain bull barrel, a Magpul hunter x-22 stock, and a Leupold rimfire scope on it. I'm right at 7 months on my wait for the suppressor so it should be here any day now. The gun is an absolute tack driver.

That sounds like a great setup ! I'm guessing that scope wasn't too cheap.

I don't remember exactly how much it costs and it doesn't even look like they make it anymore. Probably $250.00 or so, not all that bad.

I have a standard 10/22 from late 80s or so. It was my first gun that my dad bought me that wasn't a pellet or BB gun. Still shoots great.

I have a Marlin 60 my dad bought me for my birthday in 1985. It's the most accurate rifle I own. I took it to our deer lease last year and set up 10 spent rifle cartridges at 50 yards and went 10 for 10.

I have the same Simmons 3x9x32 that I put on it when it was new.

My favorite thing about the 10/22 is the clip. (Yea I said clip. TEAM CLIP!)
Seriously though, the rotary magazine is genius and works way better than other brands.

Tubular magazine 22's are awesome too.

I haven't shot the auto Marlin so I can't say much about it.

This.

I got a CZ 452 off the used rack at Cabelas for $300.

It's a tack driver.

I have both. I grab the Ruger more often but I have it tricked out. Tactical solutions barrel (with suppressor), hogue overmold stock, Ruger BX trigger. 4-12x 40 scope. It’s pretty close to a one hole gun at 50yds.

My marlin was a Christmas present from my brother that’s stock, but I have t had it out in a long time. Really need to get it out and take it to shoot it.

I've shot my 60 so much I know how far to raise up on the cross hairs out to 100 yards. I've won several 100 dollars shooting beer cans at 100 yards with that gun.

Model 60 was my first firearm so I'll always have a soft spot for it

I bought a new Ruger 10/22 about 3 months ago.
Wasn't worth a frick for accuracy. She gone.

Marlin model 60 is fantastic, but my Remington model 550 is mo better.
