Worth a try, try multiple attempts, don’t do anything abrasive to roof though

Yeah I’m definitely using low pressure water if anything. One article says 50:50 bleach/water and rinse and the one I linked says spray when it’s not supposed to rain and you’re done.

It works great but takes time. Spray it on every six months.

Dang.
I’m a “instant gratification” kinda guy.
Should I just go with a bleach/water mix?

Black stuff? What I found that works really well is OxyClean. I mixed it up in a rain barrel that I hooked up to a transfer pump and sprayed the roof down. I'd let it soak for about 30 minutes to an hour or so then apply again, the runoff looked like coffee. After about 3 - 4 treatments I hosed it off with clean water. This was about 3 years ago and still looks clean.

I tried that shite on my composite deck and it wasnt any better than a stiff mixture of chlorox and dawn
I still had to pressure wash it
Remember it may kill it but it aint gonna just roll off

Clean your roof with bleach and a sufactant like dawn. Once it’s clean, the wet and forget will help it look better longer if you reapply every now and again.

Same stuff Michael Jackson used

Should never pressure wash a roof. I removes the gravel so your shingles will deteriorate very quickly.

Yes. Be sure to rinse thoroughly all bushes etc that may get wet or the bleach could kill/damage them.

in that case you better off going with straight bleach in a pump sprayer and just go to town with it. wet roof first before you start spraying though and the first rain you want to be sure to not let roof water drip on anything you dont want bleached

Mix 1 part chlorine bleach, 3 parts water and a splash of TSP (Trisodium Phosphate).
Spray on, wait then rinse off.
Cover any shrubbery, etc.

This gives me an idea. I might do the same, but add some roundup. clean roof and kill weeds all at once.
