Heading down tomorrow morning. I have ZERO experience in anything other than freshwater. Picked up a few lures and baits I've read about and seen on videos. Is Price Lake Road where we should go?

Lil man was top dog today - gonna be hard to beat!

Get there super early. Bring turkey necks/leg quarters and string. Profit.

Appreciate it. Should have clarified - have been crabbing quite a few times but am looking to fish.

We’ve caught reds at the cement weir before and beating the banks of canals.

If you’re in a boat, catch a few shrimp and head to the canal behind the game warden camp. I’ve caught big specks and nice reds there this time of the year. I’ve caught them on the bottom and under a cork.

I saw some girls catch a nice red and flounder on price lake road last week where the culverts go under the road near the big parking area. They caught them on white and chartreuse soft plastic on the bottom.

If you go down that road under any of the culverts after an afternoon thunderstorm, you can catch a decent amount of fish. Lots of gar too.

Used to catch many on live shrimp in those situations. If you throw a cast net during those times there are a ton of juvy poagies that sit by those culverts munching on the detritus from the run off
