This is like chevy vs ford but until you get up in the $1K+ scopes just get the best Leupold you can afford and be done with it.

I wish they would hurry up and sell out those Meoptas. Bought two now and the reticle and clarity are unreal for $350. Remember they built the Zeiss conquest

On eBay you can get a Burris C4 3.5 - 14, 42mm for around $250. I have the 3 - 9, 40mm with a 30mm main tube and it's a great little scope.

Mine will be here on the 10th!!! I bought 3 with intentions of giving 2 away as gifts, but I may need to just buy 2 more guns to put them on. I can't wait!!!!

It's pretty amazing how much good glass drops in price at the end of the year. Almost as much as computer equipment. Last years or even better 2yr old stuff is dirt cheap.

I'm replacing a 20yo Simmons 3x9x33.... Always thought other people were shooting either before/after legal light, but now realize they just had better optics.

Well I think y'all have convinced me to buy one of those meopta 3.5-9x44, just waiting on the CC to reset next week. Is it really is good as people claim around here?

Would this be a good scope to replace an older leupold vari x III 3.5x10.5x50 with?

Like how old? That a very good scope too. If it is old enough that you feel you need a new scope then yes, this scope should easily replace that one and surpass it in clarity and low light capabilities.

And.... just bought one. They're running free shipping and 10% off currently, too good of a deal to pass up considering all the praise they get around here.

Mounted it on one of my older guns that didn't have a scope just to check it out. Yesterday evening took it out and did some sight test, and was very happy. The low light capibilities are honestly spectacular. I was able to see objects clearly after legal light. Will be putting it on my go to rifle after the season is over.

Granted I'm going from an old cheap pos Simmons...

Scope came in last week and I'm very impressed so far. Now I just have to wait a year to use it.
