Just call the closest nursery and ask them to deliver the sand. They should drop a pile in the driveway, then you can bucket/wheelbarrow it where you need it. They probably won't deliver less than 6 yards though. You are gonna need some help to shovel 6 yards of sand.

I mean he's a plumber so I'm not sure he'd be very good at lawn care.

Still dont see what that has to do with fixing ruts. Any idiot can get out there with a shovel and try to make right what was tore up. But what do I know
