Renting a Camp Near Lake Catherine

Taking the future son in law and a bunch of friends on his bachelor party. The camp is in the marsh off Catherine. Mid July. I know gonna be balls hot but oh well several of them have yaks but my question is can we expect to catch specks and reds? Very nice pier as well for those of us without yaks. Also crabs, think we may catch a few?

Yeah pretty sure there is lights on the pier. Might be decent fishing at night. I'm going prepared to boil crabs

Unknown Pass at the Mouth of Lake Borgne on the humps & drop offs with live mullet for trophy sized specs.

Throw cocahoe spinners and/or gold spoons along the grass. I'm not much of a fisherman, but I can catch reds over there like that on just about any day. Hope yall have fun

Haven’t seen a spec in Lake Catherine since they opened the spillway. Plenty of crabs and reds.
