We can expect other gun manufacturers to get sued now that Remington settled. Bad precident and gives gun control advocates ammo to use against other gun manufacturers particularly handgun makers.

This was probably going to court anyway, unfortunately. This is the way the left will gut the 2A, just like how they used social media companies and multinational corporations to gut the 1A.

I can see the larger compnies surviving by restricting sales but the smaller companies are toast if frivolous lawsuits are condoned.

The big guys are going to be in trouble too. Lawyers and activists all go for the deepest pockets.

Hard to say. This case is based on a CT unfair trade law regarding sales and marketing tactics by Remington. The CT Supreme Court ruled that the law applied despite federal law seeming to bar the suit, because of an exception in the fed law that has generally been construed narrowly but instead was construed broadly by the CT court. The SCOTUS buttfricked America by refusing to review the decision, allowing the case to move forward.
So the precedent value will likely depend on the state’s law and gun manufacturers conduct on a case by case basis, but the Scotus denial is still bad for the sake of interpreting the exception.

Seems par for the course nowadays.
15 years ago if you told me the GOP would have 6 justices on the Supreme Court, I would have said the 2A was safe and expected to see pro 2a rulings. We continually get next to nothing for it.
