Have a chronarch 50mg that has been cleaned/repaired multiple times and still has an anti reverse issue. AR bearing is new but handle still occasionally will spin backwards 6:1 casts.
Love the reel but can’t handle the aggravation.

Used to be a guy in bell city named Ron Ardoin. Not sure if he is still in business though.

Ron is the last one to replace that bearing, has been sitting for a year.

Is it just the spool reversing or is the handle reversing too? Just the spool is a gear not engaging

+1 on Favros. They are in a shady part of town but like MrBobDobalina said they are very good.

Favro’s has been doing rod and reel repair since that wasn’t a bad part of town, if that speaks to how long they’ve been in business. Good people.

Clean the roller bearing with acetone or rubbing alcohol and do no not oil it when you put it back. It is intended to run dry, if it gets oil in it then it will slip. Someone not familiar with the design will oil it thinking it needs it like any other bearing, but it needs the friction to engage.
