Think today and tomorrow’s weather will trigger one?

I thought the water would have to freeze. I don't think we're close.

The water never actually freezes, just really cold conditions

But you’re right, I doubt water temps will get low enough

Not near cold enough, I don't think it even got cold enough last winter.

I fished some cold water speck spots today and didn’t find much there. Maybe after a few days in the 30s/40s, but they weren’t stacked up today.

Definitely not cold enough

The last awesome one was two years ago or maybe three. I remember it was the same week the saints lost to the Vikings on the minesota miracle play I believe

I hoping the reds and trout will be in the bays around GI this weekend. I wanted to go Wednesday for a few days but will probably wait until Thursday or Friday with the wind being so bad Wednesday. I’ve never fished there in December or January but was planning to try my early spring spots
