Seems like every few weeks some lady at work needs her car jumped off. And this morning that was me. I have my Dads little booster, which i really like. But its 400amps starting a V8 took everything it had.

Id like to get something fairly small but still have 600+ cranking amps...anybody have a specific brand that works well?

This is what my Dad has...
400a

This is what i've been looking at...
NOCO 1000a

I have that exact one. Jumped a Lincoln V8 multiple times between charges with no problems.

I have the NOCO 1000a and it will jump my V8 Tundra. Got it from Amazon for $79 when it was a deal of the day or lightning deal.

Sounds like either one work well. Might just see which I can find the best deal on. Althought the noco is half the price of the microstart

Noco makes good shite. I have two of their 12v chargers and they’re worth every penny.

Mine stays in my truck or on the boat 24/7. I Check it a few times a year and plug it in for a bit, but it’s always had plenty Charge when I check.

All NOCO Boost models can hold 70% of its rated capacity for up to one year. For optimal performance, we recommend charging the device at least every 4-6 months, after initial charge.

I have a All Start Boost Pro which uses a lithium ion battery. I have used it several times to start tractors on cold mornings. Only weighs probably five pounds. Really handy to keep in your truck.

I have a Schumacher brand jump starter/air compressor in my trunk. It's worked great the couple times I've had to use it
