Despite low breeding numbers in 2016/early 2017, no thanks to all that high water last...We’ve seen an early shake back in rabbit numbers in the Wax. Yesterday’s beagle drive/rabbit hunt was full of excitement again. Looking forward to a productive season. Definitely makes kissing that dreaded duck season goodbye a little more fulfilling lol.

The feral dog that's been hanging around my place has been hunting out of season then. That day we had snow across the state it left me a partially eaten rabbit in the driveway.

Dog is also preying on moles/voles and mice/rats, possums/armadillos, and stuff, so it gets a pass for now. No collar/tags and saunters off if it sees me, but it hangs around scaring off stuff in the night and eatin varmints.

I saw multiple rabbits every ride into the deer stand this year, maybe one or two all last year.
