I popped a rabbit last Saturday, brined it Monday and have had it in the fridge to cook ever since. My wife won’t eat it nor the kids and hadn’t had a time to cook it yet. I usually cook everything pretty quickly after harvesting. So my question, will it still be good to cook and eat after being in the fridge a week?

Speaking of rabbit, saw some at rouses today. Damn things were $25. Is that normal for 1 frozen rabbit?

Don't know about rabbit vost but a full grown goat that would cost $10 in the past will now cost at least $60

That's the kind of pricing I've been seeing at Rouses for years when it comes to dressed domestic rabbit. No way in hell I'd pay that for a single rabbit.

For Rouses it is.
But then Lil Donny probably traveled to China and hand selected it.

You gotta cook a sauce with that

I imagine a smoked rabbit would be about as tender as a smoked baseball glove.

People feed them all year.. then clean them and package them and haul them to the store and sale them to the store and then the store sales them to you so yeah 25 bucks is about right
wild coons go for 10 live or 20 cleaned and package out the back of a truck
