Yea that same knife in D2 would have probably been about $40 less.

D2 has its place. It's not the best but I think you hit a very good compromise in price and performance with D2

My mini griptillian with 154 was $105.

Hammertime, you're needed in the thread.

My mini in D2 was $80 out the door IIRC.

Benchmade is AWESOME for customer service. The handles and locking mechanism are damn near indestructible. The only problem I've found so far is that the brass bushings on the pivot get tight after you was it with hot water, but they get slick as owl shite as soon as it cools off.

They definitely make a good blade. I need to put an edge on it, its beginning to halfway dull.

Factory edge and complete break down and bushing replacement for just the cost of shipping is

Zero Tolerance has some of the best knives and customer service out of knife companies. I dropped mine off of that 9th floor of Southgate and they replaced it for free because the blade chipped

Those brass bushings drive me nuts on every knife.

Yea they have their downfall

Brass makes fantastic bushing as long as it's low load and low heat though.

Believe it or not, if you are an employee of said bar, it is considered legal because the manager can give you precedence over the policy.

Sorry to sidetrack.

I would love a half-serrated Griptilian like this guy:

Beautiful knife and it's a Benchmade so you can't argue the quality.

What is the standard steel they put in the Griptilians?

Standard steel in a grip and mini grip is 154cm. I have a yellow mini grip that is my EDC blade with a stainless finish 154cm. I also have a green full size griptilian with a black tanto blade in s30v that I carry when in the woods hunting etc. tanto blade on the mini grip doesnt give enough cutting edge for edc imho. the full size griptilian looks pretty sweet with a tanto (also imho) prolly will never buy another brand of knife. I can literally average 3-4 gerbers a year. Damn things have been terrible for me.

I think D2 is the standard option.

Not sure if you're referring to carrying (a)a handgun or (b)a knife.

Hopefully it's not (a).

Those locks suck balls. I had one so I know

Locks inside the handles are better. All of the good knife companies use them, except Benchamde. Much easier to close

It might be from only sleeping 2hrs listening to that scanner, but I was thinking the same yesterday. They don't feel good and wear a hole in your pants.

Handle locked ones are much better and easier to close
