Questions about tractors

Hey guys. I don't know shite about tractors and was just wondering what the most reliable ones are in terms of brand? I also have no clue what size or hp to get. It would be for camp use like food plots and trails and some dirt work as well as bush-hogging. I have 260 acres if that gives you an idea of how much land I need to maintain. I just want something that works well with little maintenance. TIA.
Edit: The Indian in me is saying Mahindra but I am open to anything.

I would guess you are probably only bush hogging around 20 acres at the most if it’s at a deer camp, right?
More for dirt work that anything.
I’d think 80hp max.
Deere and Kubota will get the most votes in that hp range.

I have a Kubota MX5100dt and have nothing but good to say about it. It’s a 2011 and has approx 215 hours. I maintain 90 acres around the house. It pulls a heavy woods cutter and a 6 ft disk with no problem at all. I looked close at the Mahindra and Deere before purchasing but went with the orange one. Farmbelt is right down 84 in Brookhaven. They are way to deal with and have a huge selection.
I’m about about 15 minutes from the 33/84 intersection if you wanna try it out.

Old neighbor of mine has a mahindra dealership in Gonzales. I know they are running large manufactorer rebates right now. He allows you to drive, dig etc in the lot.

Make sure your truck can handle the tractor you get . The Mahindras are heavier than the Kubotas.

Kubota all the way if you will be using the front end loader a lot. The bucket on the Kubota is better built than the Deere.

Don't overlook Massey Ferguson.

That’s still a ton to bush hog. I’d lean even to a 75hp or up. Get an old 90s John Deere before they went crazy with the electronics.

not really. even with a 5 foot bush hog you could do that in a day, depending on the obstacles and hwo thick you let it get.
Id shoot for a 50hp 4x4. definitely get a 4x4 if you will be using a front end loader.

No way in hell I’d bushhog 30 acres with a 5’ but maybe I’m just spoiled.

I do 23 with a 5' and it usually takes close to a day depending on how tall. 50hp tractor so you can move pretty fast as long as the grass isnt tall or really thick. My 6' broke, thanks john deere.
30 acres may take a little more than a day, maybe day and a half now that I am thinking about it.

Whatever dealer/ repair shop is closest too you. No matter how nice of a tractor you get, you'll need a good srvice guy near by to help you out

Wow, we are really close. That's exactly where my camp is. I may take you up on that next time I'm over there.

I have a 2015 Tundra. I don't know if it's sufficient.

Buy more tractor than you think you need. Get 4wd and a loader and a canopy to keep the sun off of you and park it somewhere to keep the sun off of it. I’m partial to Deere as I spent a decade working in two different dealerships. Nothing wrong with any other major manufacturers tractors if you use and maintain them right. Somebody else said buy a used older and I’m sure they meant preemissions tractor. That coupled with the sizing and maintenance and you really can’t go wrong. And if you get real serious about a used tractor consider paying a mechanic to check it out for you. Should not cost over a couple hundred bucks which isn’t much considering what you’re paying and that a tractor should last a lifetime or two given what you described doing with it.
