In two days, gas prices increased $.25/gallon here. Went from 2.45/gal to 2.70/gallon. What is going on? Refineries go off line? TIA

Generally speaking, price jumps like that are due to demand projections.

Could also be due to winter gas coming in. If you're in certain geographic areas, the gasoline composition changes depending on the season.

Pretty sure OPEC just said they weren’t going to increase production

U.S. sanctions against Iran take full effect on November 4, while mid-week news of a verbal commitment by Russia and Saudi Arabia to increase output of crude surfaced – but it is not known whether the amount of oil produced would replace what is lost through the Iranian sanctions.

I'm just glad I recently filled up my 26 MPG Ridgeline truck. I won't need to fill up again for a long time. Feel sorry for the 14mpg F150 fellers who live at the pump.

I may be completely wrong but I thought the winter blend was the cheaper of the two.

Since Aug 16th crude is up $10 to ~$74.50

My gf's GX470 is almost as bad on fuel as my 04 2500hd gas. She consistently gets 13.4 mostly city driving, and I haven't been able to do a damn thing about it. At least I have a big tank, so I'm not filling up constantly

13.4 and a 24gal tank = fills up every 285mi

“Winter gas” is cheaper because the RVP is higher which yields more gasoline out of the same barrel of oil. Your statement is the opposite of true

That's what 95% of half-tons on the road today do anyway. I just pay ALOT less in gas to do it.

Sorry if that hurts your feelings.

I'm on my fourth truck, and I can't remember ever putting groceries in the bed. I don't like my milk jugs covered in dirt, bark, and rust, and I don't want my bread soaking up the countless number of chemicals in there
