Anyone know where to get a propane tank recertified in the Baton Rouge area?

I'm pretty sure Ferrellgas across from Brian Harris BMW on Airline will do it.

For refills I mostly go to St. Gabriel Hardware.

What size tank? If a 20 lb grill tank just swap it out at a store that does an exchange.

I do not know anyone who has done this, I am assuming you mean a hydrotest and it will most likely cost more than a new bottle.

For recertification I just grab the newest tanks from the blue rhino cage. It's cheaper, and you get half a tank of fuel in the process

I inherited about 15 tanks a while back, varying conditions.

Swapped them all for shiny new tanks.

Swap it for 1.5 20lb tanks

Call Amerigas. Their website says they will RECERTIFY YOUR PROPANE TANK. Doesn't indicate how much it will cost.

It’s not a hydro test. It’s a visual recertification. And the recert is only good for 5 years.

My brother gave me 2 larger ones that were out of date and I had them done at Lasalle gas in New Iberia. I don’t even think they charged me since I got them filled at the same time.
